Well after about 1400 miles we experienced the dreaded "shudder" moving slowly through a drive thru and stop and go traffic. Reset the system by removing the negative terminal for 15 minutes, its definitely better now a very mild shudder, but you have to feel for / sense it. This leads me to believe that it is the learning firmware causing it, or at least magnifying it. With two drivers on our SC it will probably happen again.
Although, it was winter when we bought our SC and I was driving conservatively to maximize the MPG and engine break in. After the shudder happening and more miles on the clock, I'm driving more aggresively to see if that delays or solves the problem. Hopefully, Hyundia comes out with a software rev that addresses the problem. It has made me aware of a bad habit of using my left foot to brake occasionally, which I can't explain, as I've spent more time driving a manual than an automatic and the other cars we have are all manual transmissions. Using your left foot to brake as some of the other posts have mentioned, really confuses the software and will accelerate the wear on the clutch packs if you havn't had your foot completely off the brake pedal before pressing on the accelerator pedal.
If you drive the SC like you would a manual from a stop it seems like the transmission controller is happy:giggle:. Or is it just wishfull thinking?

In a true manual, definitely. But, now that we live in 'the world of tomorrow,' the SC has a computer that knows that the brake is being pressed at the same time as the accelerator and can direct the transmission to ignore this contradiction. Or, use the speakers to scream obscenities at the driver. Or, begin a launch sequence.

Hello
I purchased my Santa Cruz limited in late march 23, broke it in with care and have mostly enjoyed the drive and feel. Except this shudder. Mine is identical to yours except when I'm in the city and stopping often the shutter gets intense. I get in the habit of stopping a full car length back because it wants to lunge. That transition in between idling and when it goes into gear is really rough. Brought it to the dealer and of course, it only had the soft shutter which I was told was normal "of course"🤦🏽‍♂️ wondering how your vehicle's acting almost a year later?
