A Disaster

In my 30 plus years of buying cars, I've owned Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans and Fords (in addition to Hyundais). I will never ever again buy a Honda, Nissan, or Ford. The experience I had with their dealers was horrific, very slick and untrustworthy. Great big shiny waiting areas and lobbys. But they mark up the bill ever single time, and I never ever felt that I was getting an honest answer.

The Toyota dealership was good, but the value proposition of their cars isn't great. You are buying the brand and they know it, so they don't pack in any extras.

The Hyundai Santa Cruz is the only car I've ever owned that caused me to want to buy another Hyundai, which I did. I got my 18 year old son an Elantra. The tech that gets packed into even a bottom trim model is fantastic. I love a good value and a good deal.

One of my richer friends questioned me about buying a Hyundai and why would I trust the brand. They bought some huge Chevy suv at the same time. That thing had so many problems they sold it in less than 3 years and got a Range Rover instead. And now, they are dealing with problems with their brand new Range Rover.
and this is the reason why sometimes buying the most expensive things will not be worth it in the long run. Yes the warranty is nice and should cover a lot, but just a big headache having to take it into the shop so often
