Some things that TonnoFlip doesn’t tell you. When open all the way it doesn’t rest against the third brake light. I probably Will take it off rather then use it open all the way. Also the installation video is edited to show the short section folding down into place. There is not room to fold it into place. It has to slid into place.

It seams to be well build and very secure. It says designed in America but doesn’t say where it was made.

I have only had it for a few weeks. It is dong what I need it to so far

Glad to hear someone with actual experience with TonnoFlip. We'll see what happens when they restock. I pulled the trigger on the Lomax Stance because I didn't want to wait for more and better information to develop on the company, and for it to be back in stock again.

Also, you mentioned your friend and the $75 discount. I got that offer by subscribing to TonnoFlip's news letter. Page says $50 but the email I got said $75 with a code. Anyone deciding to get a TonnoFlip once they are back in stock can get a discount just for the asking
They received more.. pulled trigger. Total: $849.00 to my door in Hawaii.. I could not pass that up…
Did you try the code for $75? I had logged in before. Got the $75.00 Code.. did not use.. today I used my other email and received $50 automatically added to total. Free shipping to Hawaii…

Some reason thought it had adjustable arms once folded completely open.. would you mind sending a photo?

The arms just hold it up. On most trucks it rest against the back top of the cab. Because the way the Santa Cruz tapers near the back window there is not room for the cover to fully open. It rest on a small contact point on each side.

Seems like this is the ideal situation instead of having it knock on the brake light potentially damaging it. 🤷‍♂️

Just installed the TonnoFlip… initial thoughts:

Installation is easy; HOWEVER, there’s no literature included which was a bit annoying. Instructions lead you to a YouTube video which was helpful, but having written instructions would have helped identify some of the items. For example, there are two types of belt buckles that had I known, would have saved me some time. I almost called TonnoFlip and told them I was missing parts.

It looks great Very low profile when down. You can adjust the height somewhat when completely open but not by much. Either way, you’re not seeing out the back window.

I drove it through some light rain and my bed stayed dry. Heavy rain or a car wash may be another story.

I can no longer use the auto open on my tailgate. The cover closes rather tight. It’s ok. Manual opening and closing is no problem.

The storage space within the bed is completely accessible. I think that was a problem with another hardcover.

I love it! Price was reasonable. Shipping was fast. Ordered on a Friday and got it on Thursday.

Would love an update on how waterproof it is during normal/heavy rain.... My factory tonneau is useless in the rain and my dealership has basically given up and said that's normal.

Agree on OEM Cover. I took my time, i sure side rails and lip near the rear window have been securely sealed. Then begin to Install rails.. Been having plenty heavy rain past two weeks.. no leaks.. May get a drop or two when opening the tailgate.. If not dry.. owners with the OEM Retrax (I had on mine). the Left and right side panels are different than those without the OEM cover. Closest to the tail gate where you have the theee holes to mount the extender bed. With OEM cover. There is a rubber boot between the top and the Retrax. the Trucks without the OEM does not have that boot.. Being the same area is all one piece.. I will post photos. remove OEM the boot goes with the retrax. After installin aftermarket cover. There will be a space. However, those that do not have the OEM cover there will NOT be the space…
basically Google Santa Cruz with and without the OEM retrax cover. Easy to see difference in side panels… Am living with the space until I find some used side panels…

Zoom look carefully where the after market rail ends. You will see rubber boot that I took off the OEM retrax.. even with boot there still a space.. tomorrow will take better photo with and with out the boot.. However, no leaks.. tonnoFlip cover covers the area…

Sorry I zoomed to see drivers side.. both sides are same.. without the boot, there will be plenty space between side panel and cover rail.. tomorrow will take photo without the boot.. the boot is Attached to the OEM retrax rail.. I pulled them off till I replace the side panels..
