Here's my dilemma. I bought the Bed extender from HyundaiShop for $399. Then I saw that another dealer was selling it for $315 plus shipping which was still cheaper. So, I tried calling Hyundai Shop to cancel my order before it shipped and they never returned any of the 3 calls I made. Then, the bed extender shipped. It arrived last Wednesday. I've left them 5 voicemails since and again not a single return call back. They are making it impossible to contact them. They don't have live people to talk to, just a voicemail box.
So at this point, I have a bed extender in a box. As 355rockit confirmed, the box shows it came from Garvey Hyundai and everything has genuine Hyundai labels and part numbers on it. I do believe it's a legit product.
However, I don't want to assemble and install it until I can talk to HyundaiShop. I want to talk with them about either negotiating a price match or an RMA with a prepaid shipping label to return it. But at this point, I'm concerned they'll even credit my card back if I return it.
They obviously try to avoid any contact after the online purchase. I have a good mind to block the charge on my credit card, but it is a legit purchase, just that they won't even give me a chance to return it. ****, even if I want to return it at my own cost to ship it back (it's very light), they won't return calls, so I really have no way to return it, so I don't know what to do at this point.
Anyway, for others, I'd be careful about ordering from HYUNDAISHOP. if only because they don't have any sort of post-sales customer service. For all I know, this is just some guy sitting in his basement running this website, marks up the products, and dropships them directly from other vendors. Then, he just lists a phone number that goes over to voicemail that's essentially a recycle bin..
