Wondering if anyone else who installed the Curt hitch had similar problems? How much of a gap is normal and when you torque it down, do the plates become flush with the frame rails or will there always be a gai?

Mine had about 1/4" both sides combined. Fit like a glove and tightened to the rails when torqued..
