Fiber Optic Dash Lights

960 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  DenCruz
Got the fiber optic dash lights in last weekend, going to redo the run on the pax side to get it a little brighter but ran out of time before I had to leave for a work trip. Will be installing the same on the doors front and rear. Haven't opened the door boots yet but hoping there are enough empty slots to pin out the factory door plugs vs running a home run through the boot.

That looks cool and all, but stop, go back. What is this? How do I get one?

Link to the lights so we can experiment as well with which way to do the run for wires?

Thats the 8 gang control panel with dash mount that we put together. Our website just got done getting rehashed so I can finally start updating the products listed. We currently have compatibility for 6 and 8 gang Auxbeam or Heise controllers.

Multi-Color LED Fiber Optic Lighting Kits for Car/Truck Interior | XKGLOW

This is the kit we use. After quite a bit of playing around, the passenger side definitely washes out in the daylight. Looks great at night time. For good daytime performance EL wire will be best, but you won't have the ability to change colors with EL wire.
EL wire has an uncanny consistency from one end of the wire to the other. That is because the light is created along the entire length of its surface.
RGB or LED lighting only has one light on one end.
