OK, I sometimes call my Cruz “Hank”.

About 6 weeks ago, a driver in a newer Camaro on I-35 at 5 AM sideswiped me. Hank is pretty tough, as the Camaro was pretty messed up on its driver side (I don’t have a photo of the Camaro) but Hank was not severely damaged, except for a fist sized dent in my passenger door from the Camaro’s side mirror and 2 scratched up wheels….

Well…it turns out…. through the amazing modern miracle of paintless dent repair, the dent in the door is completely gone ( I was amazed that they could do this..and some of the reason this was possible, is the paint was not broken or scratched on the door).

And the wheels. Instead of refinishing…I bought almost new, used wheels (for the same price as refinishing) from a nice forum member….MPREZYA.

Thought I’d share the before and after photos below. The white spots on the close up photo are only water spots from a quick wash job.

I’m happy to have Hank looking good again.

Looks like nothing ever happened. Awesome. That’s a great thing if you have to be hit an easy fix to make it as good as new.

That's amazing. I barely touched my door with a tire jack and it chipped the paint...you get sideswiped by a Camaro and nothing. Whoever did the repair is a master at their craft!!!

They did great work, glad you go it fixed!
I got a nasty door ding weeks after I got my SC and I wish I'd taken before and after photos. I thought for sure the crease in the dent would be a little visible but it looks as good as new!

Yes, the PDR guy was very good….and I paid approx the same price for the PDR repair as if it had been done with bondo and paint. Of course this is better, because the factory finish is still intact. BTW, the Hampton Gray color is very very chip resistant. I have 10k miles on mine and zero hood chips from rocks.

Like the others, I'm amazed that you only got the 1 dent and it is a strange dent for a moving accident also. Glad everything is back to normal.

Thanks! Yes, the Camaro just socked me quickly and apparently we both reacted quickly, moving away from each other.

That's awesome Gary! Did you watch him do the repair, if so, did he use an inductor or just the rods? That's a complex dent for sure. Amazing work.
