I think robot soldiers are overhyped. The most advanced military in the world had a pretty hard time with uneducated village peasants using mostly primitive weaponry and traps and just plain creativity, and unlike a robot that will probably be a couple million bucks a pop, the world has an almost limitless supply of people at next to no cost. The best robots will still be limited by their programming and become predictable, and I'd wager that in the field would get their butt kicked by minimally trained people that can be paid in food and minimal cost of equipping with a surplus AK47 and some improvised explosives left over from whatever war and can blend in and out of civilian populations which no robot can do. If they truly want a lucrative ripe market, they should make sexy robot companions for ugly people.
