This is more an FYI than anything.

I just installed and tried to run the MyHundai app on one of my rooted Android devices and it says for security reasons it can't run on my device.

Has anyone else encountered this? I guess I'll un-root my wife's phone or try to run it on my Chromebook.

Attention Mods: I just realized there is probably a better place for this post. Please feel free to move it.

Being rooted will be the issue. There are a lot of apps that will bail on a rooted device because it's "unsafe." Except most of the folks who know enough to root a device are also brilliant enough to know how to keep it protected safe too. I haven't rooted/ROM'd a phone in quite a while now though. Nexus 4 was probably the last one I did a lot of it on. Ran a few on the OnePlus 3, but it was super easy to re-flash the stock ROM on that, and that was honestly the first OEM skin I really liked.

You just need a spoofing tool, which will let you hide root status from whatever apps you choose. I use Magisk Hide, you just tell it what apps you dont want to know are rooted.

Just another interesting information: both Hyundai bluelink apps (old and new) also detect lucky patcher. The error message is misleading, as it complains about root.
