Hyundai's sister company Kia could be set to receive its own variant of the Santa Cruz. Motoring, citing a company "insider", is reporting that Kia will offer a pickup if Hyundai decides to build a production version of the Santa Cruz concept.

The unnamed source had this to say:

“You can guarantee that if Hyundai builds the Santa Cruz, we will have our own."

The source also mentioned that Kia has been watching the truck market for some time and has observed the popularity of trucks with a variety of customers. A Kia truck, in his opinion, would be very successful.

Would anyone be interested in the Kia version instead depending on things like pricing and styling?

Kia's version of the Santa Cruz

I have owned Kia's and my family owns Kia's . They stand behind their products. I drive a Lexus IS 250 and would trade it in a heart beat for a Santa Cruz, if they can build a version of the Santa Cruz. I would consider it, but
It would be hard to match the looks and design of the Hyundai model.
Come on Hyundai, " Build it and they well sell "

The Santa Cruz does look nice, but it's not like we have seen what KIA's pickup truck would look like.

We haven't but fact is brands follow design language and some of what we currently see in Kia will make its way into a truck. I just like Hyundai's design language better.

Fair enough. They are very different in terms of style. I'll keep an open mind to what Kia comes out with though

Looking at that one Kia SUV concept, it has me wondering what the Kia truck could look like, maybe just a 2 door version of that SUV we saw? I would be in favor of that.
