I have been wondering just how they are going to "relaunch" the launch? Are prices just going to magically show up one morning on the website followed by a simple press release? As many have said, the way Ford did it kept the buzz going....and it's still going. When prices do come out, we will all be glad to see it, but we are on the front line of the early adopters...will the general public even notice? Should be interesting to see how Hyundai handles this unforced error on their part.

I wouldn't be too hard on them yet...

Ford has a zillion almost-finished trucks mothballed in vast parking lots awaiting the last step - the now infamous chips. Ford has done everything they can do from their side. (

Perhaps there is some other 'unknown factor' that Hyundai has been working around, which will ultimately determine their final pricing.

They may also just be waiting for the Maverick and Lightning hype to die down a little. From a marketing perspective, it is much more expensive (and less effective) to be heard amongst an uproar in the market.

A chips a chip, unless they have some kind of Matrix style way to tap into squirrel brains to handle basic computations and shove those under the hood. If so, anyone know how often you have to flush the pink biogel tanks the squirrels are suspended in?

Good theory. They might have been caught off guard by all the details of the Maverick launch. Ford had more then just the vehicle ready to show, they had the entire build-to-order site up and running, along with pricing and options details all laid out for the world to see. Hyundai is clearly playing catch up which could explain the delay.

It sucks to wait, but just think of how many payments your saving as the months go by
