After 20 years of growth and maturation, Kia continues to carry its momentum into 2015 following a year of record sales and the arrival of the all-new 2016 Sorento CUV.

Kia will embrace its challenger spirit in Chicago with the debut of an all-new concept – conceived at Kia's California design studio – that re-imagines one of the brand's most popular vehicles. Built for city dwellers seeking an adventurous escape and intended to enable a variety outdoor activities, this concept proves that practical urban wheels can also be rugged and capable.
Wonder what this is and if it shares anything with the Santa Cruze?

From how it's being described here it does indeed seem like something that shares features with the Santa Cruz, being rugged, intended for outdoor activities, etc....

maybe some crossover or CUV?

Electric AWD Soul.

Kia Motors America will unveil an advanced and capable electric all-wheel drive (e-AWD) concept vehicle at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show. This bold off-roader was conceived by Kia's California design studio and built for city dwellers seeking the ultimate urban escape. Intended to enable a wide array of outdoor activities from skiing and snowboarding, to camping, hiking and mountain biking, this rugged runabout captures the essence of adventuring at higher elevations with the promise of surefootedness in the wild.

Kia's newest concept will be revealed on the Kia stand Thursday, February 12 at 9 AM. See you there.

This new Kia car looks great. If it turns out to actually work well too then this could be a real success for them.

I mean they say that it is for urban adventurers so I don't think they really prioritized off-road ability. Its more about giving that adventurous image but not really about carrying it out (at least not usually outside the city limits.)
