I installed mine way before they had the app specific version, using the Curt 56420. That combination has worked flawlessly for over 16 months and almost 12,000 miles. I have had experiences on other vehicles where leaving the vehicle running for 10 minutes cleared up the issues you are having; at the recommendation of Putco. Perhaps reach out to their Tech line; they are very responsive and helpful.

Looking for help with the blade light
Installed the putco blade this afternoon. I thought all was well as it appeared normal until I put it in reverse.
In reverse the left tail light and left license plate light goes out but all other lights including the blade illuminate normal.
When I switch it back to drive the same lights stay out. But if I turn the headlights off and then back on again the tail light and license plate light comes back on.
This was a plug and play adapter version of the blade made specifically for our model.

Were you able to have the curt tow wiring AND the blade hooked up at the same time? If so, how?
Factory plug behind left rear wheel into the Curt 56420, Curt 56420 into a 4 pin flat "Y" connector, one side of the 4 pin to the Blade, the other side to a trailer.
Yes I recall reading about this so i purchased the y connection but it doesn't work with the quick connect harness 🤷
The only variables between your system and mine is the application specific Putco harness (yours) and the Curt 56420 (mine). I would suspect it is that, or an installation related issue such as a bent pin in a molex plug.
