Anyone created the bed support shelf that can be done in the bed? Thinking it could be an interesting way to compartmentalize packing for a long trip and strap things down on top of the shelf that are more weather resistant.

I'm interested in this too...been thinking about using recycled plastic as opposed to wood....

I would also use the composit/plastic 2x6's they sell at HD. Regular 2x's would probably bow and twist eventually and not sit flat.
