I believe once the update process starts and you keep the USB connected, you can turn off the engine and the update will continue. That's how I did it.

This might be a stupid question, did you have the engine running while the update was happening? I wouldn't think the battery would drain too much, but the little warning made me wonder. Loving my Santa Cruz so far! Just got 300mi.
Alright I'll give it a try!I believe once the update process starts and you keep the USB connected, you can turn off the engine and the update will continue. That's how I did it.
Just sign in a Guest.I’ve done these before. I downloaded the new Nav Updater but when I try to login all I have seen is system error. Last night and this morning it still says it. Is anyone else seeing this?

I should’ve tried that without asking… Thank you very much!
So not only do I lose my nixie tubes, but I get Marvin the Paranoid Android in my dash as well? When does the infinite improbability drive mod show up in the parts catalog? 😆Another change with the update is the voice response/navigation voice. The old one sounded very synthesized. The new one sounds bored and depressed, but much less synthesized!
Yep, just tried it a moment ago and still can't login. I have a '22' model and have never installed any updates will I be able to install the latest update without installing the earlier update(s) from last fall?I’ve done these before. There is zero reason to log in. Don’t bother.Yep, just tried it a moment ago and still can't login. I have a '22' model and have never installed any updates will I be able to install the latest update without installing the earlier update(s) from last fall?
That's just because there's a specific file in the update files on the USB that the program identifies as an update. I would think that a message is displayed when the drive is inserted that gives you the option NOT to proceed. Also, it would not likely overwrite any previous update even if you elected to proceed. The programming would generate a 'stop' error. Unless Hyundai employed a diabolical, evil programmer...A little over a week into ownership and already a software update to apply...
It was pretty simple. I opted for the "background" update in the vehicle (engine off). Don't know how long it took this morning as I just started it and did some household chores for a few hours but it's all updated now.
A little bit of a miss in the updater, maybe: if you leave (or plug back in) a loaded update stick in the USB port you'll always be asked if you want to perform an update, even if you're at the version that's on the stick. Not sure if that's a fail-safe if you get stuck with a partial update or if it is something that could be suppressed if the systems sees that it's got the same version as what's on the stick.
They have employed an evil programmer. It won't read my texts when I am on drive. That's just because there's a specific file in the update files on the USB that the program identifies as an update. This is only for built in NAV? I use my iPhone with Car Play, so my navigtion comes from the internet - so, it would not apply to me?Looks like this update is for EV’s, maps etc… I applied it but I haven’t noticed any changes other than the in car maps and voice I don’t use. Just let a much less expensive and always up-to-date smart phone do all the stuff.
I get that warning on the screen too, but then I pressed the listen, play, read.. whatever the heck the button was. I heard a faint voice in the background of the highway noise. I continued to hit listen and turn up the volume at the same time. Sure enough, she was reading the text aloud. They have employed an evil programmer. It won't read my texts when I am on drive.
