Okay, first off, not trying to start fights. This is only my second brand new vehicle, the first was a 2020 Fe that I didn't plan on keeping forever, the Cruz I do. Before that was a fair amount of used vehicles, all Mopar (except the Evo X, but Mitsu and Mopar share a lot so it counts 😆).
That said, I have fully read all documentation I can on this girl and the only thing I can find is don't use more than 15% ethanol. No methanol. Use top tier gas, or additives if you cannot get top tier, and use "at least" 87 octane. Absolutely no where do I see "87 octane recommend". So that said, in many turbo vehicles, the ECU can figure out if you have more octane, and will boost the HP and torque figures.
I only use top tier fuel. Do you guys, mainly the ones that I have seen are more helpful (soldthetaco comes to mind), have anything to help me decide to spend the extra $0.20-$1.00 a gallon more? Now that my 600 miles are up I would classify myself as a "spirited" driver.
Thanks everyone.
