We will in the coming weeks mid May onwards (in SE Ontario) have that same scenario, and you can bet i'll utilise that feature. But December through March (snow tire season) - its a useless feature

Take an old plastic (credit, gift, etc) card, cut it to the shape of the front. Electrical tape it in place.
C'Mon Hyundai... can't you fix this properly? Or provide a case with a hard shell front protection that flips open to use the buttons?

It will probably be easier to change your habits than get Hyundai to make a fix. I'd suggest putting it in an empty pocket or hold it in your hand until you're well out of range.

There needs to be a way of disabling the remote windows down BUG!!!!
A few times now, I've gone to my Cruz to find the windows wide open on their own!!!
The latest, I go out in morning...bad rainstorm all night...and the interior is soaked and there is a half inch of water in my Weathertech floor mats!
I dried off as good as I could, but water is soaked into the cushions and probably under the carpets!! Now I'm wondering how long before mold starts to grow!!!!

that sucks, sorry to see this, ever since I saw someone else post the same thing that happened to them, I keep my key in a different pocket so hopefully I don't it that button and my windows are down when I go to work

I hang the key fob from a belt loop with a small carabiner. Nothing hits the buttons. You just have to be a little more careful with the fob. Don’t jam it in your pocket.

I also love the window down feature. When it’s 115 out opening the windows before you get there really helps.
