Rubber band- Say what?

So I’ve been pushing what I thought was a red wire back up into the center console, drivers side near the gas pedal where the plastic meets the carpet. Today I pulled it and this came out. I’m guessing it’s something left behind from assembly. Anyone else find the same thing?

I once found a screwdriver in vehicle... that was more worrisome.

Joking aside I had this too. I believe its for some tag like an airbag warning or other notice from the factory, for example that the vehicle is in shipping / service / valet mode. It might even be where they hang the FOB. I found it and some plastic around the seat belts the dealer obviously missed during PDI.
I've got the plastic around the seat belt receivers that I presume the dealership should've removed. I notice it every time I get in but forget about it every time I park it for the night, so the plastic's still there over a year later. :giggle:

No I ended up leaving it on. I found that it was adding support to the suspension.

Oh god, my dealership missed so much platic stuff during PDI, not just on my SC but on my previous Kona. They must know I love the satisfying plastic peel offs.

I'm also still finding stuff in my parent's Santa Fe 3 years on, at least Hyundai is really good at wrapping stuff up from the factory.

My wife was thrilled with all the peeling tasks on the SC. It was like getting a huge new iPhone :ROFLMAO: There is still a small piece left on the A/C display, 5 months in and yet still unnoticed by her. There was also a small piece at the bottom of the steering wheel that I only saw about a month ago.
Just saw this piece yesterday!! Its on there really good too.

Here’s another rogue item found in my engine. Anyone have any clue if it goes somewhere?

To me it looks like a portal or pipe end shipping protective cover that was removed from the engine before it was installed in the vehicle. It’s probably yellow to make sure that its seen and not missed in being removed by the installation crew. It also looks like cheap disposable plastic. My guess is it should have been discarded on the assembly line…..but all that being said, I’m unsure.
