What am I missing here…

Manual 6-22 “Good Driving Practices”:

• Driving uphill or downhill, shift to D (Drive) to drive forward or R (Reverse) to drive backwards, and check the gear position indicated on the cluster before driving. If you drive in the opposite direction of the selected gear, the engine will turn off and a serious accident might be occurred due to the degraded brake performance.

I think it means, if you are coasting forwards down a hill, don't try to use reverse to stop the forward motion (and, of course, vice versa.)

This phrasing: "accident might be occurred" makes me think that English is not the author's first language.

I will say that it is missing a few sections, so you might want to download the one from the Hyundai page
Thanks for letting me know about missing sections. I'll check the Hyundai site.

Thanks. Since my last post, I bought my Limited and love it. The infotainment manual is a big as my Dodge Dakota owners manual from 2001.
