Installed the AUXITO 9005 LED bulbs on my SC today. The beam pattern when the running lights are on, looks pretty straight and symetrical. When the brights are on, it looks like only the left brights are working, according to the beam pattern. However, when standing in front of the vehicle, the brights on both sides activate.

running lights :

brights :
Automotive parking light Automotive lighting Vehicle Hood Automotive design

Both LED bulbs were installed in the correct way (from what I can tell) sitting upright with the bottom of the bulb at 6'oclock position.

Did I do this correctly, or is something wrong? Any ideas? See photos. Thank you.

Innate, unless I’m mistaken, I think the up and to the left comment you made is relative to his second photo, which is described as high beams, and are whatever pattern they are, since the shutter unit on the light housing is wide open for high beams….and what the poster calls “running lights” (mistakenly) in the top photo are actually his low beams, which look very similar to wolfeprop9599’s pattern. I think the only adjustment the poster needs to worry about is for the pattern he calls….running. Just my 2 cents.

Hey all - I am confused and clearly misunderstanding something. When I flash my high beams, why is the left side lit up more than the right side? The beam is going up and to the left. Where on the right, I really can't tell any difference between the low beams and high beams, despite the fixture's high beams actually working.

On any other vehicle I've owned, when running my high beams, or what I may have called my "brights" - both sides illuminate equally. That is the issue here - the low beam pattern looks comparable to other posters on this forum and look fine to me. Both bulbs are in the same exact position in the housing on left and right.

Thank you for your help.

What helped me with this is installing the bulbs while they are "on" (I know---be careful!) And having the vehicle parked up close to a wall or garage door. Then you will see your adjustment and beam pattern immediately.
That is what the photos above are showing with the LED headlights installed the way they are supposed to be with the LED's facing 3 oclock and 9 oclock.

Let me make a suggestion. Adjust for the low beams….and go try the high beams out at night on a dark road. The point is….for the high beams, you are not adjusting them and the pattern will be whatever it is. And it does not matter how the pattern looks on a garage wall….you’re not going to be using them on a garage wall. See how they work out on the road. You’ll be turning them off when meeting another car anyway.
