I want to get mine tinted on my black Limited. The shop I have used in the past (because they do great work) says the SC is so new it's not in their plotter/cutter sysem yet. For those of you that have already tinted your windows, here's a question:

Did the shop that did yours use a cutter and if so what template did they use? I would think the 2021 Tucson should work but my local shop doesn't want to take the time to try it.

I would think if you offered to pay them for the time and materials to test it, they would. BUT remember, while they share up-front appearances, the SC and Tucson don't share ANY body panels. So I'd be surprised as heck if it worked. You could always do the low-budget test method ... get a big sheet of paper, lay it over a Tucson window, trace it, cut it out, lay it over the SC window ... see if they line up. Only cost you a few bucks for the paper to see how close/different they are. Or with careful photography and Photoshop you could line up identical images of the two and see how they stack up.

A good shop knows how to cut and fit film without a pattern. My Veloster was done that way. 4 windows, each a different size/shape

You lay the wetted tint on the window from the outside using the car as the pattern. Make your cuts, then install on the inside.

the SC was the 1st out of the 10 cars that I have had that I I did not tint the windows myself payed $180 for front 2 windows and windshield strip its something about this that I thing done right

My dealer did mine for me. Take it to Hyundai dealer. Perhaps they can help.

Just did mine yesterday with 3M Ceramic legal tint and windshield band. Much more comfortable now here in the sunny south..

Tinting my windows today and found out we have a unique tint percentage of 28%. My installer said he will have to find some to get mine to match front to rear. He had instock 20% which is too dark (had it before and didn't like it) and 35% which is legal in my state (but too light to match). Just thought I'd pass this along.

Ya, I posted in another thread that the rears tested at 28%. I had 35% added to the front doors. It isn't really a noticeable difference. You really have to look hard to see the difference. Just in case he can't find a better match.

Also, what is the front glass test at? I would imagine it has some tint to it as well. I doubt it is completely clear.

The matching percentage will vary depending on the type of tint you choose to use. 35% from one could be 28% on another.
I used the Nano Ceramic Tint and my guy matched it at 20%. I thought it would be darker, but it matched perfectly because ceramic tint is lighter than other types, like carbon or plain film.
I was more interested in heat dissipation anyway than light restriction.

4" Band in street legal tint , 3M Ceramic (35 I think) on the fronts..

This 5% on the sides, 5% on the front windshield strip up top and 15% covering the entire windshield.
