Tonneau Cover closes crooked

The tonneau cover on my '23 SC (picked up 3 weeks ago) seems to not close all the way on one side. On the right side it closes tight up to the tailgate, but on the left it closes about 1/4 inch away. When open it sits straight against the maintenance cover, at the middle latch point it looks straight. I can't seem to find a manual or anything that might show what can be adjusted. anyone have any thoughts? I know it's not going to be water tight, but I've seen other SCs where the tonneau closes snug against the tailgate.

hopefully the pictures make sense.

Open, a nice even line against the maintenance cover.

And when closed, not so much.

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas or am I going back to the dealer?

"Take it back to the dealer" is going to be the chorus on this one. Especially 3 weeks after purchase. For what it's worth, I'm trying to get mine in to figure out why mine is sagging on the passenger side and knocking against the bump stop.
You can take it in…but also there are two things that influence the gap at the tailgate. #1. The brackets on the sides that support the tonneau, 3 bolts each side….and adjust. Or #2. Of the tailgate itself does not have the latches adjusted evenly, or the stop is not quite even….and the tailgate can close slightly crooked…and give the same appearance…of a gap. Or it could be a combination of both.
mine started doing the same exact thing now too on the right side. have an appt for them to look at it. i have to push that side in until it clicks then i can put it out flush with the tailgate.
always close the cover with the tailgate open...then close the tailgate...
The Rivian quit including the problematic tonneau cover on their truck until they get it redesigned. Perhaps Hyundai should think about doing the same.

close the tonneau cover with the taligate OPEN...then close the tailgate...should be perfect
The one I just purchased had the crooked tonneau, also, and was listed as a memorandum to my purchase that it would be fixed. Exactly the same as in the pictures above.
Just yank on it really hard. I had the same problem, but I found if you just yank really hard, you can get it to close straight. The note from my dealer was it was still "wearing in".

they yanked pretty hard at the dealer, no go. I don’t have the hand strength to wrestle with the thing at my age. We’ll se what the tech can do when I bring it back as arranged
