Just did my first dump run with it, filled the bed to capacity with a bunch of construction waist. It handled wonderfully, no issues what so ever. It also maintained over 26 mpg fully loaded on country roads. Every day i am happier with my choice of car. Hopefully i can say it’s still running strong in 15 years. I had a santa fe i sold when it was 12 years old, it is now almost 20 and i still see it on occasion

I doubt it makes a big difference but then again I'm not risking it. I assume the engineers who built the vehicle and wrote the manual know way more then me sitting behind a keyboard. It just makes sense to get several moderate heat cycles into all the parts before stressing them by towing.
