On my 2018 Tucson, there is a red LED at the bottom center of the front windshield that blinks to show the vehicle is locked and armed. I presume this was designed as a theft deterrent.
I see a round black button-like thing in the same location on my SC. But no blinking LED when it's locked.
Is there supposed to be a blinking light there or is there another indicator somewhere else I'm unaware of?

I believe that's just the ambient light sensor for the auto headlights.

I believe Walking Black Bear is correct. That was my understanding too. Plus, mine blinked on the 2008 Sonata even when the alarm wasn't armed.
