What did you do to your Santa Cruz today?

On another car forum I'm part of there is a "What did you do to your __ today?" People post mods, use, maintenance, etc. It was a cool place to see what all was available for your car and how it came out.

So I'll start this one. Today I installed a Tonnosport cover ($296 from Realtruck.com), Auxito LED headlights (Amazon), Weathertech front floor mats (also Realtruck), and hung a full size spare in the back (Palisade rim from eBay).

The Tonnosport was a pretty easy install with my 6 year old's help (she's handy). The mats and tire were super easy, the lightbulbs were kind of easy. I went down from the top and did a lot of wiggling, but got it done in about twenty minutes. Some rubber gloves for better grip helped as well as being pretty good at using both left and right hands. Expect some minor cuts and scrapes on your forearms though.

Here's the Auxito listing: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07WMG4...abc_5NXQPDGQYDG130T1DGPW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Installed my hitch and wiring today. I'm kinda bummed though- I had replaced my temp spare with a full size, but with the hitch it no longer fits so I had to put the temp back. If I'm towing or on a long trip without too much luggage I'll just through the full size in the bed.

Installed a set of OEM mudguards. A little small but based on where dirt gets thrown should help without looking out of place. Also installed Auxito rear turn and tail light bulbs. I used resistors from Amazon that had built in 1156 sockets so they don't require cutting any wires. So far so good.

Can you show a picture of the full size tire? All I keep hearing is they won't fit a full size spare

It's a tight fit and sticks down some, but does fit. Can't get any other pictures, it no longer fits since installing a hitch.

Does it stick down far enough to lower the ground clearance?
No, it's just the angle of picture. It doesn't stick down farther than the hitch does now.

Good to know
We drove from Knoxville to Nashville in our Santa Cruz Mohave Sand SEL. My birthday was a few days ago and we went museum hopping. We met up with friends from Omaha whom we have not seen since 2019. We had parked and were walking toward a restaurant door. A woman across the street called to me and wanted to know what that was I was driving. I walked across the street and talked with her for better than five minutes, but we were early for our reservation, anyway. She said she could really see herself in a Santa Cruz. That has not happened for a while.

Sorry. I thought it asked, “What did you do with your Santa Cruz today?” I remember seeing a thread like that and thought this was it.

:ROFLMAO: all good. Yup think a thread exists like that! Was just confused with your post to this thread is all.
Picked up some Romiks on a Saint Patrick's day sale ($400 shipped). Got tired of my kids climbing the door sills to get in. Install took around an hour and a half with getting the changed from work, putting the car on ramps and cleanup.
