Just as an example, there are 3 Limiteds showing within 250 miles of me. Their VIN #s (16-17,000s) indicate they were built at the very beginning of Feb. (16-17,000s). So, looks like they sat in port for a couple weeks, waiting for a ride. As for shipment to Canada, hmmm....

For Canadians, there are a few outliers, as early as 2 months and as late as 7 months.
However, 4 months seems to be a realistic time line for factory order to delivery.

Did you get a notice from Hyundai mid February with build month and priority number. If nor expect a notice, sometime mid March

4 months 7 days was my painstaking (average) hatch time from ordered to key fob in hand ordered via the Hyundai Eh team

Thanks a lot for your reply. Yeah I got an email from Hyundai couple of weeks back with these details. Says it will be manufactured in April.

Ordered my Santa Cruz Oct 13 Was told it would be 10 weeks. Did not happen was told by sales man it would be on the lot Feb 17 did not happen .Email and phone call Feb 26 from sales person says Cruz is on the lot and would like to know when I would like to pick it up I responded Mar 2 he responded no problem get a call at noon to day and says that my Santa Cruz is missing a emission s sticker and they can t get plates and does not know when they will receive the sticker. No impressed by Hyundai.

I would feel the same - you'd think the dealer would move heaven and earth, at least provide a realistic end date for the sticker,( shrugged shoulders is not good salesmanship) knowing how long the process has taken to date.

My build date on the door was January 13th. My expected date on the website bounced around between 2/11 and 2/18 a few times, and it actually arrived at the dealer 2/26 (just picked it up Monday)

Hi Minndog .Iam down in Florida and stopped by a dealership to book a service they have 3 Santa Cruz s and lots of other models Tucson Santa Fe kona s . Lot s of cars on the lot .I am from Canada and you are lucky to have 2 to 3 new cars on the lot So some how I don’t think it is a chip shortage I think it is the dealer who complains the most to Hyundai. On the positive side I had to wait for my Santa Cruz 5 months and it is well worth the wait I love it.
