I got a Curt Hitch from U-Haul (#13486). Got one side on loosely, the other (over the muffler) seems too far away from the mounting holes, so that I can not get the bolts to thread. Is this how it's supposed to fit?? The left side is only on loosely, so that the plate on the hitch is not in contact with the frame. Maybe U-Haul sent me to wrong hitch? Seems like the hitch mounts should fit between the frame rail fairly tightly. Help is requested ASAP!!~

I just installed my Curt Hitch and I had gaps on both side as well... Initially just Hand thread each side bolt in about a 1/2 Inch so its up there leave the bottom bolts out get your ratchet or air Ratchet and start running the bolts little at a time going from one to the other the hitch will snug to the frame nicely torque the bolts to 60 lbs, then install the lower bolts and torque them..
