Anyone have a solution to the split screen on the display so that way it shows more than just the AA logo or navigation? Even better, can we get solution to make AA full screen?

Uh ... how do you turn off split screen? My screen still shows AA on the left and the AA logo on the right.
I have enabled 1280 in developer mode and I have the latest version of AA (7.6...). And I don't see an option to disbale split screenin AA or in AA developer mode. ???
You have to turn off split screen in the Hyundai settings. Setup > device connections > phone projection / Android Auto. Uncheck “use split screen.”
And I would highly recommend not limiting resolution in AA developer settings… give the default widescreen AA setup a chance. If you really want one app to span the entire screen and you’re willing to take the resolution hit, though… I guess that’s up to you.
Edit to add: have you even completed the April 2022 navigation system update? After completing that, if you have split screen off, Android Auto will take up the whole screen. If you have split screen on, you’d see what you see but you would have the little arrow to the far right to bring in the Hyundai split screen interface. So I’m thinking you didn’t even apply the newest update.

I just conducted the update. What I will say is that my update file has a May date and not April like others. It now shows media on the right with album art and all.
That is the April 2022 update, originally released 4/28. After five days, it went down for about a week due to reported server issues. When it came back late 5/10, they had incremented some of the software dates fo 5/4 (was 4/19). Either way, it’s the same update.
Yeah, you're right - I didn't have the latest update, so I'm doing that now. Thanks for the tips.

A good suggestion on checking the Split Screen mode setting. However, there no longer is a Split Screen setting, but there used to be. Now there is a setting for the screen size, which is set correctly.
Being new to Hyundai, I looked for an SD card slot and found none. So I'm now copying the contents of the update software to a USB thumb drive. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Wow, that was a tedious process! I tried 3 different 64 GB USB drives, with 3 retries to get the doggone updater downloaded. When I finally got it on the USB drive, it took a little over an hour to install in the truck. Whew, I'm tired.
But yes, AA is now fullscreen, which means I'm a little more likely to use it. I haven't tried the new features like the assistant, etc., but I'll get to them in time.
One sour note is that my Previous Destinations and a couple other things were lost, so I'll have to re-enter a few of those.
Oh, and to the poster who said he didn't see why a widescreen display was any good, since he didn't care to see things to the side, just where he was going:
1. Change your heading from North UP to Heading UP and you'll be able to use more of the screen. In fact, above a certain zoom level it changes automatically.
2. Even if all you care about is what's ahead, the smaller screen size just feels more cramped and claustrophobic. And you might actually obtain more info about your surroundings with a wider display.

Perhaps you are in the wrong settings menu?
On the 10.25" display:
Setup> Device Connections> on Device Connection Settings screen, scroll down to Phone Projection Settings> uncheck Use Split Screen on Android Auto Screen.
On the most recent Hyundai software: if you leave this checked, you will get what @Mike_TX is getting on his display in post #22 above.

So, I have a brand new 2023 Santa Cruz Limited, and I cannot get my screen to look like that. But that's actually what I DO want it to look like. I want Google maps on the left and the music or whatever else on the right. Is that an apple car play connection but using Google maps?
I basically have 2 options. I use Hyundai's nav, which will allow me to show media on the right. Or I use AA and open Google maps, but get stuck only having access to the random Hyundai widgets or the black box that says AA if I swipe away.
I saw some people say they could do it after some April update, but being a 2023, my car starts with an update from June 2022. So it should already be updated.
Same boat here with 2023 Santa Cruz SEL Premuim. I want to use Android Auto full screen but no matter what I try to do with split screen options, it doesn't work. I either have the unwanted Hyundai widgets on the right with split-screen turned on in the Hyundai settings, or just a useless Android Auto logo in that same space if split-screen is unchecked. I've tried Developer mode hacks suggested in this forum and elsewhere and it changes nothing.
On the Hyundai website, I don't see any any firmware updates available for 2023 Santa Cruz at all, just for the 2022 model. I feel like Hyundai is leaving 2023 customers in a bit of a lurch here. I can't stand having everything in Android Auto squished to the left especially after the new AA update that just came out:

I don't understand what Hyundai is doing here. Having AA use less space renders it far less usable and safe on the roads as a consequence. Such a waste of good space on a display.
Has anyone resolved this for 2023 models or are we simply stuck?
Unfortunately, the 2023 SC is in an unfortunate place. It was finalized too early to get the April 2022 update that brought this functionality that allowed AA to use the entire screen. But it was also released to market so late that it wasn’t on the list for the fall update, either. So right now, 2023 owners are still stuck with the software from November 2021. And they will continue that way until the next update (likely April 2023).
It won’t make you feel any better, but the first people who had the 10.25” system (2020 Sonata, Palisade, and Telluride) had to endure with their Android Auto being not only locked to 2/3 of the screen, but not having any stock widgets to use up that right 1/3. That didn’t come until the April 2020 update… over a year after some of those cars hit the market.

So is it possible to force a manual update on the 2023s? It seems like a few people with 2022s were able to download the update onto a USB and manually do an update. Don't know if that method would apply to my car or not.
If not I guess April isn't too far away.

Probably not easily. OR when you bring it in to the dealer, see if they can do it.
This seems pretty ridiculous, especially since the update we have is dated in June. I suppose the same applies for navigation updates, which also seem to only be available for '22 models?
I tried the 2022 update on my 2023 (10.1") but it said it wasn't the correct update for that hardware. Considered fooling with XML files or something to change 2022 to 2023, but figured it wasn't worth bricking the HU. I'll just have to wait until March/April now like everyone else.
The problem is the 2023s are ever-so-slightly different since they support OTA updates. So their model code is different. And running the update for the 2022 won’t work because the system will reject it for having a non-matching model code.
At least you guys will have OTA updates once one is available, sometime after April 2023.

OTA updates on the 2023, I did not know that. But yet still no wireless CarPlay. Weird.
