Has anyone tried buying cheaper running boards and installing them on their Santa Cruz? i mean they have nerf bars that are under $200.
and i mean this style

In Canada the sidesteps come standard in our Ultimate, I personally didnt see a use for it as the truck in only 8" off the ground, it looks good but never use them personally!

 

I agree not really a functional need in most cases. I leveled and lifted mine and don't need them.
That being said, I'm following this thread because if the price is right (~$200) I'd like them for the look 😉.

 

The reason that we are unlikely to find aftermarket steps for our trucklets is because there is no solid mounting points. The Hyundai ones require clip in nuts in about 16 points on each side of the vehicle. Where as bof trucks have frame points to mount to, usually in fewer places and more securely
